A country I'd like to visit.

I've always loved Japan. Since I was a little girl I've been fascinated with japanese culture, especially after watching anime on television. Even thought I don't like anime anymore, my appreciation for Japan has grown quite a lot ever since, mostly because of the massive amount of videos I've watched about tourists visiting places like Tokyo and Kyoto.

If I ever get to visit this country there are some places I cannot miss out on, like the famous Shibuya Crossing where, on a daily basis, approximately 2.500 pedestrians go across it. Also around the same area it's the Harajuku fashion district, where no only you can shop from various japanese brands that are not easily accesible here in Chile, but you can also get a glimpse of the current fashion trends, which are quite different from the trends we have here in Latin America.

Aside from the capitalist friendly part of Japan, some of the places I would like to visit the most are the temples and shrines, mostly the ones located in Tokyo, like the Meiji Shrine in Shibuya, but also the ones in Kyoto, like the Nanzen-Ji Temple. This places, mostly filled with buddhist statues, different rituals and beautiful vegetation, are perfect to meditate and have a moment for yourself surrounded by nature and gorgeous traditional architecture.

Lastly, and as most people know, Japan's culture it's filled with things that people outside that country will mostly find weird, so my trip wouldn't be over without visiting places like the robot restaurant, where you can have dinner watching a show filled with fireworks, lights and strange robots, or staying at least one night in a capsule hotel.

Visiting Japan is one of my dreams, but honestly I don't really know when or how I would do it, mostly because of monetary reasons.

1. Shibuya Crossing

2. Nanzen-Ji Temple

  1. I think their cuisine seems really amazing. I'd like to eat real sushi--not full of cream cheese!
